Uber wants to use AI to detect drunk customers

Maybe Uber will be able to know if you’ve been drinking too much. The chauffeur-driven vehicle service has filed a patent describing an artificial intelligence technique that would be used to detect a customer’s intoxicated condition and direct them to drivers who can handle the situation. For example, the Uber application could detect typing errors, the accuracy with which the user clicks on links and buttons, the speed at which he walks, the time and place where he is. In the event of suspicion of drunkenness, the system could in particular prohibit access to its uberPOOL trip sharing service.
